Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, serial number 34334, entered service with Air New Zealand as ZK-NZE in 2014. The aircraft was the first 787-9 delivered to Air New Zealand, the launch customer for the stretched Dreamliner variant, and is immediately recognizable by its distinctive all-black livery with the New Zealand silver fern. Powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines, ZK-NZE operates long haul services from Auckland to destinations across Asia, Australia, and North America. Its advanced composite construction, excellent fuel efficiency, large windows, and improved cabin environment helped introduce a new generation of long haul aircraft to Air New Zealand's fleet.
