Powered by four General Electric CF6-80C2 engines, the 747-400 combined excellent range with substantial passenger capacity. D-ABVK later carried special "Fanhansa" titles during the 2014 FIFA World Cup. It was withdrawn from Lufthansa service in September 2015 and subsequently scrapped at Tulsa, Oklahoma.
