Airbus A300   5.25"   4.5"

Airbus A300B2-1C, serial number 005, operated by Air France as F-BVGA. Delivered in May 1974, it was the first A300 to enter service with Air France and one of the earliest production examples of the world's first twin-engine widebody airliner. Air France initially employed F-BVGA on high-density European routes from Paris, demonstrating that a widebody could operate economically over relatively short sectors. The aircraft later served Air Inter before being withdrawn from use. F-BVGA represents an important period in Airbus history, when the European manufacturer was working to establish the revolutionary A300 against well-established American competitors.

Designed as a wide-bodied medium range transport, the A300 was first flown on July 8th, 1983.
