Airbus A300B4-203, operated by Air Niugini as P2-ANG. The aircraft provided the Papua New Guinea flag carrier with widebody capacity for international services from Port Moresby, particularly routes linking the country with major destinations in Australia and Asia. The A300's combination of passenger capacity, substantial cargo volume, and twin-engine efficiency made it well suited to Air Niugini's relatively small but geographically demanding international network. P2-ANG became one of the most recognizable aircraft in the carrier's early widebody fleet and represented a significant increase in capacity over the smaller Boeing and Fokker aircraft used on many of Air Niugini's regional services.
Designed as a wide-bodied medium range transport, the A300 was first flown on July 8th, 1983. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
