Airbus A300-600, registered F-WZLR, was an Airbus test and development aircraft used during the A300-600 program. The improved A300 introduced a two-crew glass cockpit derived from the A310, revised aerodynamics, increased use of composite materials, and greater operating efficiency compared with earlier A300 variants. F-WZLR participated in manufacturer flight testing and demonstration work as Airbus developed the final major production generation of its pioneering twin-engine widebody. The A300-600 subsequently became particularly successful as a freighter, with passenger aircraft also serving airlines worldwide. Its development helped establish cockpit and systems commonality that became increasingly important across the expanding Airbus product range.
Designed as a wide-bodied medium range transport, the A300 was first flown on July 8th, 1983. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
