Curtiss C-46 Commando Diecast Model
CAAC, B-202

Limited Edition

1:400 Scale   Length   Width
Curtiss C-46 Commando   2.25"   3.25"

Curtiss C-46 Commando, operated by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) as B-202. Originally developed as a large pressurized commercial transport, the C-46 became famous for its extensive U.S. military service during World War II, particularly flying supplies over "The Hump" between India and China. After the war, large numbers entered civilian service, and C-46s became important transports in China because of their heavy payload capability and rugged construction. B-202 represents the type during the formative years of China's state-run civil aviation system, when surplus American transports provided essential passenger and cargo links before Soviet-built and later purpose-designed commercial airliners became widely available.

Curtiss C-46 Commando

Designed as a twin-engine transport comparable to the Douglas C-47, the C-46 was first flown on March 26th, 1940.
