Airbus A300B4-605R, serial number 727, operated by Mahan Air as EP-MMO. The aircraft was originally delivered to Lufthansa in 1994 as D-AIAU, becoming part of the German carrier's large A300-600 fleet. After leaving Lufthansa service, it eventually joined Iran's Mahan Air, where it was registered EP-MMO and used on domestic and international passenger services from Tehran. Powered by General Electric CF6-80C2 engines, the A300-600 combines substantial passenger and cargo capacity with the improved two-crew cockpit developed for the later A300 generation. EP-MMO illustrates the unusually long careers achieved by many A300s after leaving their original European operators.
